Moving from transactional to relational

In our research, clients and candidates expressed that the existing experience felt too transactional. They were confident that a candidate and job would be matched, but they didn't trust it was the best match.

To rebuild this trust, we wanted to introduce a more human-centered approach, integrating a blend of personal and digital interactions to make the experience more relational.

Assessing the landscape and discovering opportunities

We conducted an audit of the current site to uncover any UX, UI, visual, and brand issues, then noted opportunity areas that could improve the experience.

We also audited and mapped out the competitive landscape to understand how Robert Half could best position itself amongst its competitors.

Finding a new identity

We explored new directions for the brand, developing a new color palette and visual language, helping to inject warmth and a softer, more human feel overall.

Leveraging a shape dubbed "the squircle," we created a softer and more inviting visual presence for the brand.

Photography direction was shifted to utilize inviting and positive subjects with eye contact to represent RH talent agents, and candid workplace shots for candidates.

A foundational design system with the keys to drive it

Following our strategy and initial designs, we created a foundational design system for Robert Half’s digital presence with reusable components for design and development in Figma and Storybook, all documented in Zeroheight.

Zeroheight documentation included onboarding by role, design principles for foundational elements, and a comprehensive component library with specs and usage guidelines.

We also crafted detailed outlines for management processes and governance tailored to their organization's structure and needs, all delivered in a single playbook document.
